It’s been a while since I posted anything. Spring means yard work, we’ve had graduations, big family dinners, all sorts of life that is, honestly, more important than jumping on social media.
But I am still getting some writing time in. Currently at 91,946 words. This isn’t going to wrap up in 8k words. And then I have to go back and redo the inciting incident, etc. There’s a ton of work before I can even all this a first draft.
And that’s okay. I’m only competing with myself here.
Today’s context-free excerpt:

“Well, lately Doc Sas has been watching them at the – oh! Got it! Hang on!” He ran over and started dialing the phone.
Wendy turned back to the group. Everyone was staring at her.
“Moon ritual?” Donna asked.
“Yeah, it’s some religious thing they all do every full moon. It’s some big secret. Some kids do it, some don’t. They won’t explain.”
