Our last update was about an unfortunate killing. Our hero won’t get in legal trouble, but pack trouble is a different story. And she doesn’t even know that exists.
I made the choice to not (yet) view the fallout from her POV. Instead, she’s still in shock, holed up in her RV/van. I’m examining what this is doing to the community. Keep in mind, nobody actually knows whether the kid is dead or not. He’s just missing.
They know it was self-defense. But do facts really change feelings? Probably not.
Can the existing pack leadership weather this? How will this affect our hero’s goal? Stay tuned.
Here’s today’s word count and context-free excerpt. It is tough to get the time to write. I’m squeezing in a hour or so between a full day of work and dinner.
