Just an update on the new book. It’s going to be the first in a series. I’m hoping for at least 6 books, but that’s up to Wendy and the other denizens of Noisy Creek.
I’m going to be vague until the book is published, but it’s urban fantasy about a young woman who moves to a small town in the Pacific Northwest to run a bar.
But her still-wet online business degree never taught her how to handle all the weird secrets and goings-on. Secrets like, where is everyone? Why did the bar’s dead former owner hide a brand-new pickup in a barn, and why does it look like he had a campsite in the basement ?
Why doesn’t anyone invite her to town meetings? Who keeps trying to sabotage her bar? Why are all the guys so hot and why do they spend so much time in the woods?
I’m hoping to wrap up the first draft in April at around 100,000 words. Once that’s done, it will be time to start editing with an eye on a summer release. But lets be real, fall is more likely.
